☀️Light-Life🌿 🟢Monthly reflection in English for the members of the Movement 🟢

Every year in mid-February, I personally commemorate the first trip to Ireland Fr Blachnicki made in 1984. He wrote a letter to the whole Light-Life Movement after that trip (it is fully translated into English). This trip was such a discovery for him, and he saw the Church in Ireland as 'the gateway for our Movement into the English-speaking world' to use the phrase from his diary. It seems this is still important for him, even being in Heaven as many times in the last couple of years, precisely in mid-February surprising things happen related to the Light-Life Charism.

I want to share with you today a unique recording. It is his talk during that trip to Ireland, precisely 39 years ago on 14th February. As always, "Father B" loved to see the living realities of the Spirit in the local Church, and Ireland was no different. He gave a talk about 'Unity in the Holy Spirit', one of his central theological priorities. The address was recorded by someone he met a few days before, a Polish photographer invited by one of the papers to take a photo to illustrate the interview. Back then, in the 80' there were about 300 Polish people living in Ireland (yes, you read it right, three hundred). He recorded it for his private collection. It was discovered 34 years later, back in 2018, after the death of his wife (he died a decade before her) and was given to me. Although that sounds quite simple, the whole story was a miracle (the way we met with her daughter and how in the vast jungle of books and other things, the little cassette was discovered). I digitized it and published it on my youtube channel.

Why do I post here the talk of Fr Blachnicki, who did not speak English? Well, because it was translated on the spot by his interpreter, a bilingual speaker. So you can enjoy the relatively smooth translation of his thought.
