Ok so All Saints Day is tomorrow, thanks for the nomination Ciara Ferry to chat about my favourite saint.

It is very hard for me to pick up one, but thinking about the challange I decided to choose John Henry Cardinal Newman. I love his lifestory and deep searchig for the truth. He was following the voice of his conscience during his scientific reasearch and discoverd the fullness of the truth in the Catholic Chruch. Then he left the Church of England where he was a member of the Oxford Movement.

As a seminarian in Ireland I was attending Sunday Masses in the Church he founded nearby St Stephen's Green.

And my favourite quoute is: "Certainly, if I am obliged to bring religion into after-dinner toasts, (which indeed does not seem quite the thing) I shall drink, -- to the Pope, if you please, -- still, to Conscience first, and to the Pope afterwards."
