Tonight some people knocked to my door wanted me to come with them to the house where a man just died. I took my ritual and the bag with the holy oil. He died when he was watching TV. Because that happened less than two hours before I came there, so I decided to give him a conditional anointing (so in that case it also forgives all sins in effect). Later on the people told me that he was a good man, involved in the Eucharistic adoration in the past and greatly involved in the local community. I was really happy that I could help him at the hour of his death. The presence of the priest when you are dying is a real grace of God. And that just reminded me the main reason of being a priest: you have to take care of the salvation of the souls!
